My daughter chose this place for her birthday dinner and it was a great choice. Lots of variety on the menu. My particular favourite was the burger, a mini lamb burger which is just about the tastiest burger I have ever eaten. I also had the duck pancakes and a Dim Sum selection all accompaniied by draught Kirin beer which... More

Can usually rely on this venue for a nice evening out. No table booked and pleasantly surprised to be accomodated so quickly. Food as always was really tasty. service was fine, nobody falling over you but not really what i would be calling in here for. Always has a nice buzz about and good for a bite and a few... More

Visited this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was a Saturday night and was very busy so service was slow. When the staff did attend to us though, they were very friendly and helped us pick what to get. They had an open kitchen which was cool. Food was quite good. We had beers that apparently... More

My smooch was so dissapointed.. Black rice.....no.....it overpowers the subtle flavours of the japanese kitchen. It's too dry, too firm and too much own flavour. So you miss out on the soft smoothness of the avocado in the rainbow roll as well as the firmness of the crab and the seaweed is undetectable. Salmon sashimi ... was alright but not... More

Great food, really good variety, portions were pretty decent size, great atmosphere and service. Can't believe it's been in Dublin for years and I have only just discovered it. Will definitely be back.

Went there yesterday with my friend and we were happily surprised by the quality of the food compared to the prices on the menu ! The atmosphere set up as well as the music makes it a really cosy place to eat with anyone. Thumbs up for the barman with the Vans t-shirt 👍

This quirky restaurant is great for a meal with friends, family or even going solo! With a very broad menu, there's plenty to choose from. Lots of the classics (gyoza, pancakes, tempura etc) aswell as sushi! The flavours were to die for, didn't want the meal to end. Service was great, the staff are all very friendly. Your setting can... Tried the one across the road once and left disappointed after hearing so many good reviews. Tried this two weeks ago and it was fantastic. Had the ribs, duck pancakes and a portion of ebi tempura masago. I had a lemonade that was made like a mojito and my girlfriend had a cocktail after some excellent recommendations from our server.... YAMAMORI IZAKAYA, located at 12-13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, in what was originally Ireland's very first cafe. This old Bewleys building boasts original oriental style decor with a twist. Enjoy the 1940's Chinese and Japanese beer ads and movie posters with a great Asian beer or rice wine, and try our dublin famous homemade Izakaya burger. After your meal we have a lounge downstairs where you can catch a nice Izakaya Lycee cocktail, and enjoy some modern sounds from Dublin's up and coming DJ's.

Downstairs is a Japanese style drinking house, serving small Japanese style pub food dishes with great Japanese whiskeys, beers and sake.

Come for food or drinks, chill out and listen to some urban lounge deep and soul tunes.

The Izakaya has a retro easy going atmosphere and is open 7 days a week from 17:30 and is available for private bookings.
