I have always loved Yamamori and I have been to Izakaya accross the road a couple of times too. We were five people and we found that the sharing aspect of the menu lent itsself really well to a group. We decided to share a load of stuff including Shu Mai ( my favourite) a couple of types of Gyoza... More

Have been here on a couple of occasions and really enjoy the underground buzz; can hardly tell where in the world you really are. Food is fresh and flavoursome with a lot to choose from! A great range of drinks too

They have a few chains of different specialities around the city of dublin. Generally everything is good. First time to this outlet today. We had the spider roll, chicken karage and beef yakiniku. The food was pretty good. The spider roll was my favourite and you have the option of having it with black rice which is like brown rice... More

Second visit to this restaurant and it was still up to par. Saturday night when they were extremely busy and they didn't disappoint. Food is fantastic especially the prawns. Not so mad about the late night DJ.

I have been to this and the two other Yamamori restaurants in Dublin several times in the last few years. The sushi is great and they have other good dishes. Not the cheapest place, but good quality. Can get pretty packed.

Having dinner here was a spontaneous decision. We called about 2-hours before to make a reservation for a group of 7. They were able to accommodate us after 9pm, which is exactly what we wanted. We arrived, our table wasn't ready so we had a drink in the bar downstairs. We got the best table in the middle of the... More

Description
YAMAMORI IZAKAYA, located at 12-13 South Great Georges Street, Dublin 2, in what was originally Ireland's very first cafe. This old Bewleys building boasts original oriental style decor with a twist. Enjoy the 1940's Chinese and Japanese beer ads and movie posters with a great Asian beer or rice wine, and try our dublin famous homemade Izakaya burger. After your meal we have a lounge downstairs where you can catch a nice Izakaya Lycee cocktail, and enjoy some modern sounds from Dublin's up and coming DJ's.

Downstairs is a Japanese style drinking house, serving small Japanese style pub food dishes with great Japanese whiskeys, beers and sake.

Come for food or drinks, chill out and listen to some urban lounge deep and soul tunes.

The Izakaya has a retro easy going atmosphere and is open 7 days a week from 17:30 and is available for private bookings.
