On a recent visit to Dublin, I called in here on a busy Saturday afternoon. The place was nearly full , but I was served very efficiently with a smile. Nice coffee and brownie, in a relaxed and 'cool' environment. And there was also a lot of reading material (newspapers and magazines), which is my favourite part of a cheeky... More

Best sandwiches in Dublin- try the avocado if they have any left and love the mushroom salad. The staff are lovely and the cafe itself is really comfy - don't forget there's more seating downstairs as it took me years to discover this!

Called in here for lunch on Easter Tuesday with my wife. The menu is simple and the food is excellent. The sandwiches are delicious and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back.

I went there several time already when I want to have a coffee and cakes or to have lunch with my family and I highly recommend it. The staff is always nice with you, always smiling, never rushing. I just love the salad they prepare and for a choice of three salad for 5.95€ they are really generous and you're... More

I dropped by with my 10 year old daughter last week especially for the Tuna sandwiches and the Cinnamon rolls.... its her's and my favorite lunch spot in the city.... on the bus into town she couldn't wait to get there and we were not disappointed. I realised when I was there most recently that I've been going to Simon's... More

Stopped in for a coffee and cinnamon roll yesterday and wasnt disappointed . Super little relaxed cafe to sit with a hot cinnamon roll and good coffee with my boyfriend. The cinnamon roll was fab hot and tasty perfect with coffee and a chat for fifteen mins or more as there is such a chilled vibe inside . They also... More

Simon's Place is an essential piece of Dublin. In a time when limp panini and dodgy lattes abound, Simon's dares to be different by sticking to a time-tested formula. They've been making the same doorstep sandwiches for years, decades nearly if you include its connection to the now defunct Marks Brothers cafe, which used to be on the site of... More

I've been popping into Simon's Place for more years than I wish to recall :) and always find the service, coffee, soup and sandwiches as excellent as the first time I found it. Keep up the good work, I always recommend you to anyone looking for a good bowl of soup or just a cup of strong coffee!
