Great trad Irish pub on the Rathmines road. Great food, great Guinness and friendly staff and locals. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We ate at Rody Boland twice during our trip to Dublin. The pub is large and characterful, with an interesting display of old sports equipment and various other curios. The dark wood surrounds mean that the place has quite a dark atmosphere, but the tables in the restaurant section are well lit. The food was fairly standard pub fare, but... More

Straight off the plane, we had to come here. i'd read the reviews & was excited to see the infamous Rody Bolands. it did not disappoint, like a mini museum of the best kind, a public house. service was typically irish, so friendly and jovial. food was out of this awesome & the Guinness... out of this world.

Called here with two collegues one evening. Food is delicous. Few pints were even better. The layout is cool and has to be seen. When you come in the front door you know this is going to be a good pub. Well worth a visit. Staff are 100% too. Very friendly.

This is a beautiful bar full of character and history. Plenty of choice at the bar but the food was really good. We both had the steak in Guinness pie which was served with mash. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend a visit to this place to anyone.

Rody's is a great old bar in the middle of Rathmines with one of the best pub grub menus. They always have a special of the day which normally consists of roast beef or lamb with a big stack of veg and potatoes and lashing of sauce. It's a lot to get through but it hits the spot if you're... More

Eat here recently for a family occasion. Waitress that served us as very good, friendly and on top of her game. A lot of deep fat fried dishes presented without a lot of imagination. Didnt have desert but they looked very good. Would eat here again only if I was in house for drinks or socializing. Would not return specifically... More

Went here for dinner of a Saturday evening, having browsed the menu selected the Pan Fried Chicken Supreme Florentine and was told it would be twenty minutes. The dish arrived on time and chicken was served on a bed of spinach with fondant potatoes and a madeira jus, seasonal vegetables on the side in a separate dish. First item to... More

We visited the Rody Boland two times, both times the food was excellent and the service friendly. A great pub away from the more touristy locations in the city centre.
