Last week was our third trip to Leo Burdock and the least satisfying. I'd go again but I you must ask for fish fresh out of the fryer. If you get fish that has been cooked even 15 minutes previously, it will be greasy and bready. This chipper is substantially better than any fish and chips shop in the U.S.... More

A long line appeared when we approached this place, which usikker usually a good sign. The employees worked extremely fast, so we got served quickly. The food was excellent.

"...perhaps in the world." I visited two Pubs serving Fish & Chips in Dublin and in both establishments the help redirected me to "the best". It's hard to argue with a local who, having multiple options, votes against his/her best interest. Once I tried the piping hot fish with freshly splashed vinegar, I would have to agree.

We were hungry, having just landed at 5 am, and we wanted some lunch at 11:30, which I guess isn't done in Howth. Several restaurants welcomed us for breakfast or a drink but we were told that no lunch would be served until 12:30. But Leo Burdock's was open and ready for business at 11:30 so we popped in. The... We have a local in our team and every time we talk about fish and chips this place comes up. When we where in Dublin we had to stop here. I went for the smoked cod with chips. Extra salt and vinegar and ready to eat. The fish was absolutely the best I ever ate on the screen. The chips... More

One of the best fish and chips I've tried ever! Good portions, a bit overpriced however (9€ for one) but suppose that it's related to the fact thats a well known place! Good food!

Our taxi driver told us it was the best fish and chips in Dublin, so we decided to try it since it was close to our hotel. I had heard later it gets very busy at times but there was no line when we went. There's nowhere to sit (we knew that in advance) and the weather was very windy... More

Leo Burdocks is simply the best - their chips are enormous and taste exceptional, their fish is fresh and you get a humongous portion. The batter on their fish is sensational. Friendly staff- Always busy so be prepared to wait in short queue.

I had visitors over from Denmark who said they'd love to have "fish & chips" in a paper bag! So I thought why not Burdocks? sure I grew up knowing it's "supposedly" the best "fish & chip" shop in Dublin....after our visit to Guinness Storehouse we walked to Burdocks & had quite an appetite on arrival. There was a mixture... More
