Our first night in Dublin and we were all ready for a meal after a long day. Eating here was an excellent choice. The food was hot, perfectly cooked and very tasty. There is a good atmosphere and the staff are warm and friendly. We...More

Best beer selection in Dublin. The stouts they brew themselves -- Plain Porter, Oyster Stout, XXXX, etc. -- were all terrific. Great live music too!

We chanced upon this bar/restaurant when we were looking for somewhere to eat and wile away a couple of hours on a cold and wet April evening. Despite the place bouncing because it was the first leg of the Man City/Liverpool Champions League quarter final,...More

Stopped by for lunch, food was absolutely terrible and the prices were high. Atmosphere was dull, staff seemed unattentive at best. There's a lot of decent pubs and restaurants in the area, I can't say I'd ever give The Porterhouse the time of day again.

Loads of beers to choose from. The Oyster stout is well worth trying. They do a tasting paddle too. Food was quite good - not outstanding but tasty. Watched a great live band there too. We tried to eat there on a second night but...More

Very nice bar. Staff can laugh about jokes. Bartender gave good advise about beers. I will go back tomorrow!

I agree with Ann - the place is very big on several floors. But it's also quite crowded. So I would suggest you booking in advance.
