Mao missed an opportunity here. It could have been great. Or at least different, like Wagamama, but instead it's bland, bland, bland. Whoever decided on this approach probably thought it was safer to go this way but really, it's a shame. The decor and the service is good but the food is meh. Try somewhere else would be my advice.

I went here so many times and still love it. The starters are great, the smoothies are delicious and the mains really good plus a cool orange style location Once I even met Ray Foley an Irish TV and radio presenter.

Was here last week with a big group. They had a good Xmas menu to choose from. Great service and lively atmosphere. Very reasonable price too and everybody's food was well satisfied. Will vist again for sure. If you like salads at all try the Thai asian salad. It is absolutely divine.

There's a few Mao branches around and I find the quality of the food is quite inconsistent, so you could get an excellent meal one visit, and order the same but get quite a poor meal the next visit (I've experienced this at my local Mao branch). The choice is a bit limited. I went initially (to the one in... More

I come here for lunch or dinner at least once on every trip back to Dublin. I always have the same order and it never disappoints. Chili Squid to start. Delicious perfectly tender battered squid with that old 2005 staple sweet red chili sauce dip. Followed by their amazing Nasi Goreng which is so abundant I never have room for... More

Love this restaurant. Great food and great atmosphere. Portion sizes were quite generous. Myself and two others had three different dishes - they were all excellent. Food was served quickly. I will definitely be visiting again
