Both the actual chef and the guitar player were wonderful! This was a great family show... the kids even got to participate! We will definitely be returning when we are in Dublin.

I have eaten there twice now and both times have been a very pleasant experience. I ate there once for lunch and received a starter and main course for €12.50 which was very reasonably priced. The service was quick and the food was very tasty....More

We ate at both the restaurant and then later in the week at the Teppanyaki bar. The restaurant serves very good Asian food and at 17.5 euros for a 4 course meal cannot be beaten in Dublin. We found the atmosphere in the basement calm...More

It was my friends birthday and over the years I heard she would like to try Teppanyaki, so I decided to book Chai Yo after very high recommendations. To say I was not disappointed at all would be an understatement. We arrived to be seated...More

Unfortunately I had to give an average review based on the crazy noise levels downstairs in the restaurant area.It is quite small and stuffy and I'm not sure whether we dined there with particularly loud people or the fact that it is quite claustrophobic in...More

I have been here twice. The first visit was with a work party in January 2016. Really large group booked at a teppanyaki table. That was a fun night. I wasn't blown away by the food but it was tasty enough and fun. Last night,...More

Place is convenient and a nice area, a walk to St. Stephen's Green and other night spots. Food was good. We had a 4 course dinner for only 17.50 per person which is not too bad at all in Baggot St.! Two of the staff...More

Chai yo is split into two sections, upstairs we have three teppanyaki (hibachi) tables where the chef entertains and cooks in front of you. Down stairs we have the more conventional restaurant sitting. We serve a variety of asian cuisines such as teppanyaki, sushi, thai curries and chinese food. We love to cater for large groups at the teppanyaki tables where we can accomodate up to 40 ppl on the three tables. Dont forget every night we have singers and a guitarist to help you celebrate that perfect night.
