Add a really nice Korean meal there. Staff is Korean and the service is good. Also they have some nice beer.

If you want to go somewhere that has a nice atmosphere and has good food and a pint of beer I would recommend this place. The vegetarian bento box was delicious!

The restaurant is a bit of a strange place, it is part old-man pub and part Korean restaurant. The Shakespeare use to be a regular low-grade pub, it was then taken over by a group of Koreans that run it as a Kimchi restaurant. This sounds like a good combination, however its not really delivering on either promise. Our trip... More

I got the teriyaki grilled chicken, the chicken wasn't a breast but more thigh. Nonetheless it was very tasty and a good serving size. Staff were very friendly too! I'll be back

This place actually surprise me as it has quite a good reputation on trip advisor however the truth is that the restaurant is pretty ugly all the walls and furniture is all worn out there's even graffiti in the men restrooms, no music is played in the restaurant so you have to eat in silence which in can be good,... For 15e you can get sup and really nice hand made sushi. But most likely you will be hungry like me. Portions are small. But quality is very good. Not very well marked so look for hophause instead of kimchi.

I went there during the 2015/2016 Christmas period and was surprised I hadn't heard of this place before. The food was excellent, especially for the cheap price, and comes with a bunch of gratuities like miso soup. The drink selection is excellent and it's a great place to get some of my favourite plum wine. A great atmosphere, I highly... More

Been here many times and it's always been consistent with comforting foods. I like to order to Korean food, my favorites are soondoobu zigae, jeyuk, chicken wings(so crispy in a sweet sticky sauce) and bulgogi. I pass on their bimbimbap as its very mediocre. Their Japanese menu is ok, I don't like their nigiri. but I love and recommend their... More

Had dinner in kimchi with a friend Saturday night. Small and quaint inside.i had chicken mandu for starter which was gorgeous. My friend had veg spring rolls which was also nice. We both had assorted sushi for mains. The main course was ok, good selection although I felt the pieces were a little small. I found myself wishing I had... More

Kimchi is by far my favourite and most frequented restaurant in Dublin, simply because the food is consistently spectacular. I've been coming here every couple of months for the last decade and the food has never been anything less than superb.
