We very much enjoyed our dinner at Monty's. Arguably some of the best lamb we have ever had. The service was great and it was a fantastic dining experience.

We hadn't booked but we got in, despite there being a very large party of diners already in situ. Lovely food and excellent service, all the more remarkable in view of the pressures of dealing with the other diners. The tables are quite close together...More

Visited last night as a group of two couples. We were greeted by papadums and sauces then we ordered the sharing platter for starters (€36) with a selection of four of the starters on the menu. Everything had so much flavour. The mains were beautiful,...More

We really enjoyed our dinner experience at Monty's. Nice atmosphere and good service. The food was delicious and the Nepalese cuisine is a nice tweak on the Indian food we enjoy eating so much.

Lovely Nepalese food and a welcome change from the norm. Delicious starters of dumplings and a Nepalese curry for main course. Great selection of craft beer and superb service. It was Saturday night and we were lucky to get in without a reservation...booking recommended.

Really enjoyed our visit to Montys. The staff were great, explaining the provenience of the dishes. We had the mungling dhal blat - a combination of different chicken, lamb vegetable , rice and dhal dishes and it was very very good. Would definitely go back!

We stopped over in Dublin on the way to the NW200 road races and pretty much stayed over purely to return to Monty's. The food was fantastic and the service is excellent. The guys remembered us from our first visit in December which I find...More

Three of us went here recently on recommendation. Arriving at 6.30pm, restaurant was almost empty but started to fill up shortly afterwards. Everything from the starters (Squid, Deep Fried Spicy Prawns), to the mains (Ledo Hedo and 2 Curries) were authentic, flavorsome and delicious. Naan...More

Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
