Reviewed yesterday NEW

Went to the Waterloo for food which was average. I got the stir fry noodle dish and found the sauce quite watery and the veg was over cooked therefore quite soggy. My partner got the pan fried chicken dish which was average. The most disappointing thing was that we got 2 pints of water with some orange cordial and the... More

The Waterloo is narrow and deep with a nice relaxed atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff. That mixed with a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails means it has something for everyone, including Leffe on draft for me! Food is solid quality pub fare with a nice choice of dishes. The snug inside the door is a great... More

I was a solo traveller staying nearby and wanted somewhere to eat. I walked into this place and was glad I did. There was a large selection of beers and a good menu. I ordered the chowder and Irish stew, which were both very good. No complaints, and I'd go back.

Good food, decent verity of drinks and some very tasty cocktails. Maybe a little bit dark but if you are with a good company you forget it.

Not too many choices for vegetarians. However, there were a few salad options; salads that I have never heard of before. I tried the chick pea and sweet potato salad, which was quite interesting. It was actually a warm salad and it turned out to be quite good. The place is always packed, but then again, it is a sports... More

We had a few drinks early evening before going to a restaurant, the bar was very busy, (rugby match showing) we found a table to the rear of the bar and enjoyed the craic whilst being served by the floor staff

This was in easy walking distance of our hotel and we ate there one evening. Had excellent Shepard's pie and my daughter enjoyed her fish and chips.
