From the moment we arrived we felt like an inconvenience, we came into the restaurant by the wrong door and were ignored, how inconsiderate of us! We arrived at 7.25pm our table was booked for 7.30, it wasn't ready, again how inconsiderate of us we were left to feel!! Table for 4, we were shoved on what at breakfast was... More

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good, the pizzas were delicious but they lacked in customer service. It seemed like they were doing us a favor rather than actually serving us. Waitress dissappeared in the middle of service nowhere to be found. Manager was rude and all in all very disappointed with the experience.

Thanks for the review and I'm really disappointed you had to experience this level of service (or lack of). There simply is no excuse from us but in order to learn, can you please send me the details to fla@oliveto.ie. I need to understand the day/evening you dined, approximate time and any description you can provide as to the waitress/manager... More

I visited this restaurant for dinner last weekend while staying at the Haddington Hotel. We received a wam welcome upon our arrival (even though we were a bit late!) and quickly seated at a table by the window which gave us great views. The atmosphere was warm, lively but relaxed. We decided on main & dessert, both of us opting... More

I arrived at the hotel very tired and went downstairs to Oliveto for a late dinner. The rocket and lightly dressed parmesan salad were extra good, as were pizza toppings including spicy prawns (apparently what people at this restaurant consider spicy is very mild, because I was warned the prawns were very spicy!), and spinach. Yum. But the gluten free... More

Lovely warm decor, tonnes of atmosphere. Light, modern Italian options. The seafood linguine and risotto were both amazing. Great service even with the place jammed. Great for a drink outside in the summer!!

Hosting one of the best views in Dun Laoghaire, I dropped in to the old Haddington House for my afternoon tea recently as the sun was out and the sea was clear. Unfortunately, the service was not as I had previously experienced. Pointed out by another elderly women sitting close by, there was one or two young people trying to... More

This restaurant is in the Haddington Hotel, (renamed from the Kingston I believe). The restaurant has a good reputation locally. (Hence used to meet family for dinner). Limited menu - not a problem as many are far too wide and I assumed the limitation meant extra good. It was okay but did not live up to the reputation in my... More

I recently visited this restaurant on a Friday evening with four guests. We loved the food which is an interesting and stylish twist on Italian. I had a starter platter with lots of lovely meats and cheeses on a huge board which fortunately I was sharing. I went for a rather dull choice of main course, a pizza which was... More

Well had a meal and posted a review in 2016 which was upsetting due to the service not been up to the 100%. But new year new hope - Service was prompt, personal right level of interaction. The starter was amazing (The ravioli) and I asked for a calzoni which I was straight away asked which one. Currently I am... More
