We had the 2-course special. We shared a generous goat cheese salad and then I had the cod and my husband the red pepper risotto. We finished with a crème brûlée. All very tasty. The staff seemed well-trained and pleasant. Busy and lively atmosphere.

We were two persons for a late lunch, and went in to Martine's. A rather small but very cosy restaurant with excellent and welcoming staff. The food was very good, and was served quickly. Best recommendations for this restaurant!

Four of us had dinner here last week, it was a lovely evening. The staff were very helpful, the food was great (seafood stew, excellent). The owner came round to chat to each table to check that everything was OK. If you are in Galway...More

We were walk-in's on a Tuesday night and we were seated promptly at the bar and met with pleasant service from the bartender. They seated us straight away and we were able to enjoy oysters and a delicious meal. Really lovely experience.

Had a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich which was beyond delicious. Great old building. Their desserts are wonderful. Had the one with bananas. Absolutely will get back there to eat before we leave Galway.

Description
As a family we have lived and worked on Quay street since 1902 and have a long history of looking after customers with Martine having worked in Margaret Mc Donagh fish shop across the road (McDonagh's Seafood Bar) at a very young age. This tradition was passed on to my brother and I, as we too worked with our mother in her restaurant preparing and serving food. Our family tradition and Galway's Great trading ties with other countries have seeped into the bones of our restaurant and greatly influence everything we do. We believe in local Irish produce prepared simply using traditional and modern techniques from home and around the world.
