Visited here last weekend with my boyfriend and I thought the place looked really nice. Other than this I was really disappointed with the food and service all I really enjoyed was the chocolate brownie at the end. Expensive and dry food. Would not recommend.

They may be great for lunch and dinner but the very limited breakfast menu is an inspired let down. Everything from presentation to seasoning and service for our breakfast was lousy. The server was polite though and he appeared to be doing many other things even though there was almost no one in the place so that might explain the... More

Number of people: 2 What we ordered. Steak sandwich So this had to be the driest toughest steak sandwich i have ever eaten. No sauce or onions or mushrooms. The menu stated it should have tomato so i asked the server to bring some down. He brought down 3 slices of tomato (check pics). I thought it was a joke... More

A cool, multilevel restaurant. They were able to accomodate 6 of us without reservations on a busy Saturday night, thanks! We had steaks that were amazing and included salad, veg and fries. €29 for filet mignon dinner is a bargain compared to the USA. Even though they were extremely busy, the service was fantastic.

went here for a drink. Found the famous tree. Enjoyed the ambiance. Searched hard at the end to find someone to pay!

Visited midweek, really busy, large restaurant/pub in a number of rooms on a number of floors, v friendly staff, extensive and v interesting menu but limited beer choice, food superb - we ate stuffed chicken rolled in bacon and cod - v tasty and large portions. Would recommend and revisit.

We were lucky enough to be recommended the restaraunt in McSwiggans by our hotel receptionist and it did not disappoint. We arrived at 7 pm without booking and thankfully they had room for our small family of 3. The restaraunt is very nicely laid out and the menu was perfect chicken fish and beef dishes with plenty of variety. The... More

Great old pub, with a mix of clientele: young & old, friendly staff - one of my favourite pubs including: JJ Bowles in Limerick, O'Donoghues in Dublin and Foxy John's in Dingle

We had been to McSwiggans 6 years ago for our anniversary and ended going there both nights of our stay in Galway because it was so good. So we were excited to be able to come back with our friends that we were vacationing with. We had 10 people but they were able to get us a table. Our waitress... More
