The most Galway pub on the street of the Galway Pubs. Great beer, great bertenders (try the Blood Red Ale, exlcusive to the house and very good). The place is huge on the inside, with a restaurant so you can eat nice meals between all the drinking you will be doing.

Central location in heart of Galway. My companions and I sat outside and enjoyed the Guinness and lunch after a hard mornings shopping! The older companion was somewhat distraught after having been lost in a shopping mall a short distance from the pub. Fortunately she was saved! The tasting plate was excellent And improved her mood. So when in trouble... More

Had a great dinner here - the chicken was some of the best I've ever had and they were very accommodating to my allergies (dairy). Service was good and the staff was nice. Just a tad loud because of a rugby game on but besides that a very enjoyable meal.

The menu looked promising: gravalax in gin, pan-fried crab claws,... The prices were rather steep compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood, but we reckoned it would be nice to eat something else than stew or fish and chips for a change. However, we were in for an unpleasant surprise as the portions were extremely small (made large by a... More

We were on a short stop with a tour in Galway for lunch. We wandered along the street and the look of the Kings Head called us in. The food was incredible. I had a lentil stew that came with naan bread. It was spicy, flavourful and perfect. The waitress suggested trying the local brewed ale (can't remember the name... More

They asked us to leave when we didn't order a new drink after 15 minutes. We had just finished the previous drinks and were going to order new ones. Needless to say, we left right away.

We had lunch here and were really impressed. The building has atmosphere, especially a great fireplace which we were seated beside. Good service and great food; the chowder was excellent.

Stopped in for lunch and a Guiness ... and we were happy to find the Irish meai my mother had been craving. Cabbage, Bacon (smoked pork shop), potatoes and cream gravy. Everything the rest of us ordered was good, but mom was in heaven.

Enjoyed my visit to the Kings Head. Loved their house beer and the Galway beers they had to offer. Their fish and chips was super fresh and very delicious. Would highly recommend getting!
