Reviewed yesterday NEW

We were strolling around looking for someplace to have a light bite and a nice pot of tea, and somewhere bright and sunny with a nice window to look out at life passing by outside. Then we saw Cupan Tae, and upon entering the premises we were stunned at the beauty of the place. Beautifully laid out tables with colourful... More

Beware hefalumps, this is not the place for you! Cupan Tae (which means Cup of Tea in Irish) is a charming and dainty location for refreshments. It is full of embroidered tablecloths and pretty china and an informative menu of teas, as well as delicious cakes and scones. When you are served, in order to ensure your tea is brewed... More

My daughter has taken to liking tea shops with good tea and China cuos, so we had to drop in on a visit to Galway. This is a serious place for tea. I felt like asking to buy the menu as it had some much information on the teas available. The 3, 4 and 5 minute timer for your brew... More

From the moment we opened the door we were met with a huge smile and a warm welcome. The egg timers that arrived with our tea was a novel touch. Great attention to detail. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely tea shop with very tasty scones. We were served quite quickly and enjoyed our food. The only negative I had was that we were seated at a table in the middle of the shop and it was tight for space.

Lovely place to visit. The interior is very quaint a tad shabby chic. Lots of floral and lace about. It's absolutely fantastic. They have a variety of sweets and types of tea. One of my favourite places to come each time we visit Ireland and Galway.

Lovely place to visit, I had been on about going here for months! We got tea and cake, I had lime and courgette and it was delicious, tea was fab too. Himself was a bit unsure why we had to leave the tea to brew for eight minutes though haha. China cups, saucers and tea pots. It is a little... More

Wow - where to begin. From the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff, to the delicious food and equally delicious tea!!! What a great place to choose to spoil yourself. An absolute treat to experience and would recommend it to anyone whether a tea lover or not. Plus you can then purchase the tea to take home and enjoy again and... More

Went in after reading the good reviews. I can honestly say it lived up to the standards. The tea was lovely and there is a good selection of it. Quite a nice selection from the lunch menu - a little small but enough. The staff is friendly. The lady that served us what very helpful and so welcoming.

What an exciting find!!! Great place to sit and relax while trying different teas and treats to go along! Staff is very friendly! Don't forget to buy the tea you had or maybe another you thought about while looking at the menu. If I find myself back in Galway this is always going to be a stop!!!
