I was doing some shopping around town, and popped in for some coffee after a long morning in the shops. I noticed the extensive alcohol selection for sale in the adjoining shop and off licence. I struck up a conversation with a member of staff, I think his name was Vinny, who was very friendly and helpful and helped me... More

McCambridges was our first stop in Galway while waiting for our airbnb to be ready. It was a nice grocery store and coffee shop that was warm and had a great menu to take a bite out of the cold sea air and rain!

Visited McCambridges last week with friends and my 3 year old son. The staff were so lovely and they all had smiles on their faces the whole time we were there. As soon as you walk in you can tell how good the food is with freshly baked goods on view. We didn't eat a meal here but I certainly... More

Me and my friends decided to have a brunch here as everything looked amazing. We weren't disappointed: incredibly delicious banana and maple syrup pancakes, tasty porridge and some of the best salmon bagels I have ever had. Oh, did I mention the cake table? Or the shop downstairs? Only the brave. P.s. only the best ingredients.

I purchased a roll with chicken and bacon in it. It was more like a chicken skin and bacon fat roll. I haven't eaten from there in a while and as it was handy I popped in today but it will be even longer until I go back.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. I went for a steak sandwich which was Devine! They switch tables for me cause I needed a socket for my computer, the waitress was very helpful. My complements...! Next time I will go here again.

This has a nice ambience but it is too expensive for what you get and I went from being a regular customer to never even considering it. They have that terribly annoying habit of bringing you your coffee immediately and then your food ten to fifteen minutes later when you've finished your coffee, so you have to order another. The food... A Galway institution. It's usually busy and sometimes you have to queue for a table. I've had lunch here a few times and it's always pretty good if a little expensive for some options. Nice selection of cakes and savoury options. Good coffee and good service.

My wife and I visited McCambridge's on a damp Monday afternoon, nice and warm, friendly staff, we had soup of the day, tea and coffee, the soup was carrot and garlic with a couple of slices of brown bread, very tasty indeed, the tea was okay, my wife didn't enjoy the coffee, it was way to strong for her. I'd... More
