I absolutely love this place!! Myself and my husband had dinner here back in August. We both had the steak main. They use quality fresh local ingredients, and this is evident with every course. It was absolutely gorgeous!! I still think about it!! The service here is great, everyone very friendly and happy to answer any questions about the menu.... More

Really lovely restaurant just a bit off the main track in Galway city. Easy to get to by taxi or a meandering walk. We were a family of 4 with all different taste. Two teenagers still found plenty to enjoy on the menu. All the food choices where simply amazing tastes. We had starter and main and had no room... More

Went to Kai on a work night out (10 of us). Typically restaurants are not great when dealing with slightly larger groups although we were not a huge group but Kai didn't disappoint in any way. Didn't have a starter but had the Venison and then a Cheese Plate. Was blown away by both. One of the best meals I... More

After our first initial experience at KAI and not giving a glowing report I wanted to redo another review after a more recent trip there. we had a lovely experience, with a really lovely coffee and cake and excellent service. We did feel our first review was probably just hitting on a bad hour. But delighted to say we will... More

Having read mostly positive reviews about this place we decided to try it for brunch. It's definitely different in every way. In particular the food is definitely not ordinary. We only had coffee & croissants but the menu looked very interesting. I'd recommend it as somewhere to try if you don't want the run of the mill stuff. Nice place... More

Extremely local atmosphere -- not in the touristy part of town, felt like the only tourists there. Very fresh ingredients. Great service. Good portion size. Enjoyed it from start to finish.. Would suggest to any travelers who enjoy comfortable upscale adventurous dining.

Only one word to describe Kai "Awesome". Excellent service with a smile, perfect coffee and food (I had coffee and scone, my daughter had coffee and an awesome pastry). Convenient and fast too. Truly a must visit while in Galway.

We were in galway and looking for a restaurant to visit. This one seemed interesting so we decided to go and we did not regret it. We were welcomed in by the more then friendly staff and we had a pre dinner drink which was both delicious and unusual. We has duck and goats cheese starters and venison and my... More
