Maybe my expectations were too high after reading other reviews. My family, which consisted of my husband & 4 young adults ate here for an early dinner. The atmosphere was very quaint. Although the food was good, the portions are quite small. In particular, the grilled octopus had two tiny pieces of seafood. It was delicious, but almost nothing there........ More

My family stayed in Galway for two nights.. and we had dinner here twice. We loved everything about it: the wax-covered candlesticks, water views from the tiny windows, and, most importantly, the delicious food. Highly recommend the monkfish! The staff was super friendly. We all agree that Ard Bia is one of our all-time favorite restaurants.

I've come here quite a few times for breakfast/Brunch and I have to say the food has been top notch each time! The last time I was here I went for the Poached eggs with avocado and a side of smoked salmon. A great way to start the day and the coffee is strong as well which is a massive... More

charming and quaint, this little restaurant was big in flavor. We did not have a reservation, which I would strongly suggest if you plan to go, yet they were able to accommodate our group. They did have to turn away multiple parties as they're just was not room. I had the steak, which I would strongly recommend. The staff was... More

Loacated on the "pier" behind the Spanish Arch, many visitors will not simply "happen" upon this restaurant. Not the most comfortable seating but all was forgiven as all the dishes served were excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient and spoke perfect English (difficult to get in Irish restaurants). Small selection of wines but adequate. Overall, a very good experience and... More

We was very interested in the brunch menu but they don't do brunch on weekdays. It opened quite late for breakfast too, we had to take a walk and came back starving. However food was very good. We had buttermilk pancakes with fruit compote and mascapone, avo and egg and an Earl grey teapot for 2, all was delicious, especially... More

Food was pretty good however I wish they had a bigger menu. Half the menu I didn't even know what it was.

Food is amazing. The hardest part is deciding what to order. The staff a great, it's a busy spot but they work hard to quickly seat you. 😊

Best location, right at Spanish Arch and on the bay. Helpful staff and interesting menu. I had a delicious beef stew for €12. Really enjoyed my visit.

Went for breakfast on a weekday and it was delicious. Excellent flavors and fresh ingredients. Service was great! Only thing was breakfast menu was small but that's how they serve high quality food so quickly. Lovely breakfast!
