My sister raved about the seafood in this place years ago but I had never eaten here (not a fan of seafood anyway). We did recently call here for lunch and it really was flawless. I got triple decker sandwich, which also came with chips....More

We ate dinner here last Saturday night after walking past it earlier in the day. The views of the King John's Castle across the river are amazing. You can dine inside or outside on the covered patio next to the River Shannon. My girlfriend had...More

We went here for mussels and the venison stew, only one of which they actually had. Seems the venison stew was a seasonal item that had been replaced with something else, but they didn't bother to update the menu...online or in the restaurant. We didn't...More

This is a great little Irish pub. It was our first stop on our travels to Ireland, and was a perfect choice! All meals were delicious, great service and a great view to the castle over the river.

I was in the Curragower when they had their soft shell crab and prawn burger as their weekly special on the menu. There was a whole soft shell crab in it, deep fried in a really light and crispy batter and a succulent prawn patty...More

Chilled and lively at the same time , we didn't have a reservation which worked to our advantage because we got to sit outside and watch the world pass by while waited for a table , has to be the nicest view from any bar...More

I've been on your website and it only allows for bookings for party's or large groups. I really wanted to eat here on Sunday 20th March preferably about 6pm as we fly home later that evening, is there usually a table free around this time or would you advise coming earlier? Thanks, Nicola.

Hi Nicola, Thank you for your interest in the Curragower. If your group is on the smaller side I do not foresee there being any problem seating your group. However I would suggest arriving a little earlier so as to avoid... More
