Great relaxed easily atmoshere.. Food good and staff excellent. It can be difficult to get a booking as it is such a popular place to eat in the evening so I would advise booking in advance.

We arrived at this gastropub at our allotted time and were seated promptly. Our orders were taken quickly however there was a bit of a delay with the service. My partner had been raving about Bar One for years and can walk in with staff asking, "the usual?" He always has a chicken pasta dish with extra cayenne pepper (from an old menu). It's sooo good! We've been in Castlebar for a week and have dined there twice! Staff are friendly, attentive and always delighted to have a chat... More

Service was great at this restaurant but the fish cakes were blackened around the edges and i would consider the food average. We had soup, chicken wings, fish cakes, chicken crown and a daily special that included sole and prawns. Decent lunch but nothing that stood out.
