We showed up without a reservation, and they kindly squeezed us in between bookings. The food was delicious and without fault. We had a range of seafood, meat and vegetarian, with the mussels standing out. At the end of the meal, we were given a complimentary limoncello and small dessert, I think in thanks for not languishing and disturbing the... More

Got the early bird menu - good selection very tasty. Pigs cheeks for starter was stunning, the mackerel pate was very tasty and the "breads" were so special.

A very good Irish restaurant. One of the best quality meals I've had - not loads of food but GOOD fresh food well prepared and creatively presented. Good wine list with a good range of prices, too. Crab starter and goats cheese starter were excellent. Lamb amazing. Veggie option intriguing. Dessert (friends had) very well received. With two good courses... More

This is a quirky restaurant when it comes to architecture & design. On entering It definitely has an intimate feeling - a real warmth. Regrettably for us we were shown the door within seconds and escorted outside and back in through another door which led upstairs. The top room accommodated us - 10 - and there were 2 other small... I have found my favourite restaurant! The food was fantastic. I had the steak which was so tender. The waitress was excellent she explained everything that was on our plates as there was so much and lots of different amazing flavours! We had the Chef's choice for dessert which was 6 different little desserts. Then...when we thought we were finished... More

I've been to An Port Mor a handful of times over the last few years and it's always been fantastic. As well as the sensational food, I've always enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and welcoming staff.

Myself and my boyfriend ate in the restaurant over the Easter bank holiday weekend, it was a real treat. The service was next to none, our waitress was so attentive and friendly and really knew about all the food on the menu. We got a shared starter, a cold mixed fish platter, not something we would normally Oder but we... More

Description
An Port Mór Restaurant is run by Chef-Proprietor Frankie Mallon. Our philosophy is to use seasonal, artisan produce from local suppliers. House specialities include pot roasted pigs cheeks with black pudding & apple and vanilla sauce and 21 day dry-aged sirloin. The main emphasis is, however, on local fresh seafood and shellfish, particularly lobster, crab, scallops and langoustines fresh from the west coast of Ireland, especially Clew Bay.
