We have been stopping here for years based on their good food and reputation for fresh fish. We arrived before the lunch time rush and had to wait a while at the bar for acknowledgement in spite of it being quiet and two female waitresses...More

Had much needed cold pints and chips after climbing The Reek in a very hot Mat day. Guinness cold and delicious, cider same...chips were delicious. The full menu looked great and I had serious food envy of the people next to us who had mussels!

We wanted a good lunch, but gave up in Louisburgh. We were told to try The Tavern, at Murrisk, on the road to Westport and were glad that we did. Comfortable seating, good menu and good food.

A warm bowl of chowder and a glass of Guinness in the Tavern was perfect after a Croagh Patrick climb. We enjoyed our visit.

Best place to eat after climbing Croagh Patrick. Amazing chowder and cold beer is what you need after the hike. Truly recommend.
