Heading back from standhill taxi driver recommend this pub, thankfully we listened to him and had a cracking night. Friendly bar staff, and brilliant live band on the night we were in shame we had to fly out next day. I don't recommend knock airport after a. Night here! Thanks

Beautiful old Irish Pub with great live Music. The Pub is bit old fashioned but just this is characteristic for Ireland and so lovely. Love to come back some day.

Very small bar with local musicians and different bands singing. I visited during a night with banjos - great craic and music! The kind of place where people know each other, come to learn how to play from each other and even if you travel alone, they'll 'adopt' you for a fun evening.

Within 5 minutes of arriving Michael was over chatting to us and giving us tips on places to go in Sligo, delighted we stumbled upon here on my birthday- was a night to remember! Small, but a great atmosphere, particularly with the live music.

Had been here before the past two years at the Fleadh ......and pre Fleadh. Several different local bands play here. I deliberately timed the holiday to take in Monday night but went on the Sunday instead. Fantastic band called Sunday Mass. Will be back....again!

I've visited Mc Garrigles on and off over the last 15years and can honestly say it's a Irish pub that hasn't really changed its identity much over that time. The staff are friendly, the drinks are good, the clientele is non pretentious, the fire is good during the winter months and the bathrooms are truly awful in every way but... More

McGarrigles is one of the best venues for impromptu live music in Sligo. On my most recent visit Quentin, (a guy with a guitar, a digeridoo, some electric drums and a ukelele) was brilliantly improvising something between nu-folk and drum and bass. The pub is small but friendly, and usually quite crowded - so getting to the bar can be... More
