Very nice meal with generous portions. Lovely dessert, particularly the apple and berry crumble. Efficient staff.

I paid for drinks with a 50 Euro note. The bartender gave me back change for as though it were a 10 Euro note. I am sure he pocketed the 50 and put a 10 in the till. Shame on me for not creating a...More
if you're after an authentic Irish pub then this is the place for you. For some reason the Guiness seemed to taste better here - must have been the atmosphere! The seating isn't the most comfortable, being mainly stools and benches. The covered outside area...More
Cities oldest tavern and one of Ireland's oldest pubs. Entertaining local talent completed our irish evening experience. We only had drinks as we had already eaten but were glad we ended our evening at Doolans!

The staff was very inviting The food must have been fine; I just really remember how great the staff was with directions and information and joking and having a fun time with their job and with all the customers, not just us.

When your evening at the pub starts out with sing along Irish songs, you know you're in a tourist bar. None the less, the staff was friendly, the pints tasty, and the atmosphere very conducive to meeting your fellow travelers.
Good atmosphere, & friendly, helpful bar staff. Good range of beers, including Metalman, a straw coloured craft ale. Live music later on in the evening, geared particularly for the visitors, but hey!!! Interesting ancient building which gives the impression of having been there for centuries...More
