After a perfect weekend in Castlebridge we just had to try a breakfast in the Frying Irish man. From the outside looking in, it resembles an American style diner. From the moment you enter this fine establishment you are treated with a welcoming smile and a big "good morning". It is well staffed and the service is spot on. First... More

Disaster in castlebridge when my lift was delayed for an hour while the mechanic fixed the car. The open sign flashed at the frying Irish man 😇 . It was 3 degrees outside so on I went. I asked for a coffee and a slice of brown toast and a friendly happy man told me to sit down and said... More

Stopped off here for some lunch following a heavy night celebrating a friend's birthday. This place hit the spot - friendly service, large portions, great tasting food and very reasonably priced.

Looking for somewhere to eat mid afternoon, four adults and four kids and came across this place unexpectedly before hitting the beach. Certainly not that upmarket but a vast menu for somewhere out of the way. Think of something much better than McD's but along similar lines, but also serving fresh fish meals. Very enthusiastic service from 'The frying Irishman'... More

If you want cheap and cheerful this is definitely it. You don't get fancy table cloths or posh service but you do get good solid food, big portions and pleasant chatty service.

Customer service is very poor . Order a kabab amomgst other stuff . But it was the kabab that was the biggest letdown. It came out completely different than what was order .and when the staff had asked if everything was alright we told them about this wrong order .and instead of offering to correct there mistake we had to... plenty of tea and toast included. The large breakfast is very large. The place reminds me of a late night chip shop, but it is much more than that, so don't be offput by décor.

Great steak wrap at as very reasonable price. Service is excellent and the owner has a great sense of humour. Will visit again.

This is a great place for a good feed. There is a very extensive menu - the Jumbo breakfast and the Irish Stew are particularly good. Prices are very reasonable and you won't leave hungry. You can also be sure of a genuinely pleasant welcome. This is as good a 'cheap and cheerful' dining experience as you'll get.

Lovely place usually a weekend spot but we decided to have bit lunch mid week. Daughter ordered chicken nugget meal, because I have dietary requirements I ordered cod, when she served me she asked did I want anything else so I asked for lettuce beetroot tomatoes no problem 2 sec later on plate no hassle, which amused us as been...
