Its is not easy to get a really decent coffee in Harrogate. With a few notable exceptions most of it is mediocre to barely drinkable - the chains being the usual suspects. Why drink bitter, overheated coffee when you can actually drink stuff which has...More

We went in last Sunday and it was just as good as the first time I went in during the summer. The Lady that owns it gives you a run through if you want to have a different Coffee than you usually have. Me and...More

Great coffee but at £6.30 for 2 capaccinos I think this place is in danger of pricing itself out if the market. Won’t be going again.More

You would have bought either 2 flat whites which would have come to £6 or 2 10oz coffees which would have come to £6.60, as we don't offer cappuccinos. These coffees contain a double shot of single origin coffee, ethically traded from a named smallholder...More

Their Standard take out is Small, and at £3.30 is a rip off. It needed a double shot otherwise I wouldn't have tasted it. Not hot, I had drank it by the end of the street. first and last time I will bother going in...More

Our coffees are single origin, named farm coffees that cost us a lot more to purchase than the chains who buy in bulk. Our coffees are also much more lightly roasted for a more complex flavour. Our milk is heated to the optimum temperature for...More

Popular place, deservedly so for its good coffee, and wide choice of quality teas, and knowledgeable staff. My flat white was pretty good which was a welcome relief after some frankly shocking coffee in some places around the UK.

This was my first visit to Bean & Bud but I don't think I will return. The cake was nice and the coffee would have been great if only it had been warmer. It arrived tepid at best and I felt obliged to rush it...More

Thank you for your comments. Along with most speciality coffee shops, our milk is heated to just below 60 degrees. Beyond this, the proteins and sugars in milk break down and the sweetness is lost. If you prefer a hotter drink you can mention this...More

I visited here recently for a morning coffee. We were warmly welcomed and the impressive choice of coffees was clearly explained to us. Both our selections were really lovely so we decided to treat ourselves to a second and some cakes! These were really delicious...More

We were visiting Harrogate and were planning to use an alternative venue. This particular venue was closed so we chose Bean and Bud. What a great choice, we loved it, great coffee and lots of choice. Generally, lunch type menus but quite a variety of...More

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. We tend to focus on tea and coffee with a small selection of good quality lunch food so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you again.

This place is a bit out from the centre of Harrogate but, in my view, it is really worth the effort looking for it. It is in Commercial Street and has outside space for the few days of good weather we get here! The coffee...More
