We visited for new years lunch prior to the cinema. We opted for Tapas, and had two extra side dishes... we like our food :)
The food was delivered to us after about half an hour.
We had the 5 dish Tapas deal and opted for Jackfruit Tacos, nachos, mushroom quesadillas, pork belly and Gambas. We then added fries, and garlic flat bread with cheese. (50p extra for the smallest, most pointless sprinkling of cheese)
The food was delicious cannot fault it.
The staff were attentive, but not intensive.
The bill came quickly, and was £42 for the meal, and a corona and jug of water.
Cant wait to go back!

Friendly staff asked if there were any food allergies on seeing us to our table, or if we wanted vegetarian or vegan. The menue has food spanning several South American countries. I had gambas and prawn fajitas. Everyone at our table enjoyed what they had. Definitely would go back.

Met up with a friend for bottomless brunch. Our waitress was Zoe, who was fabulous! In comparison to other bottomless brunches, food wise its very generous with starter and main included... whereas other places are literally a light "brunch". Only criticism is that of u pay to upgrade to cocktails..there's only 6 cocktails to choose from and u can only order 1 at a time... so it takes a while to actually get your drink which then means your not getting much of a bargain price for "bottomless". Also your table is for only 90 mins rather than 2 hours

Ate here recently just after they re-opened. Service was great from start to finish, all members of staff were helpful and polite. Food was great, enjoyed the Copacabana burger, highly recommend! This was one of our first restaurant trips since things have re-opened but all staff made us feel comfortable with all the social distancing measures in place. Well worth a visit.

Visited last night with friends and can honestly say bit disappointed with the overall experience.
I have been several times before without any issues but last night, found the music was so loud you couldn't hear what the waitress was saying, nor could they hear us. Ordered drinks to be told they had sold out of Porn Star Martini and non-alcoholic bear so we had to choose something else. Which we did
Ordered food Chilli con carne and steak fajita's, 5 minutes later the waitress returned to say both sold out.
Later in the evening I noticed Porn Stars were being served to other tables, queried this apparently, they had a delivery during the evening. When the food arrived, we were given Steak fajita's apparently, they did have them after all.
Most restaurants would have offered at least a free round of drinks for all the inconvenience and confusion caused but had nothing. No apology from the Management either. Restaurants normally inform you when you sit what is not available on the menu, but the poor waitress had to keep apologising. This to me is bad communication.
The food however is really good and plenty of choice.

Zoe was very attentive coming back to us every 10 minutes or so to offer us more drinks as part of our bottomless brunch.
Our drinks were rarely empty! Fab food too!
She also looked like a fitter version of Maya Jama. Coleslaw was a bit rubbish though

I cannot praise Mikey highly enough, he was very courteous and beyond friendly, making us all feel very welcome. If something wasn’t available on the menu he knew alternatives and made a wonderful suggestion for a starter. My other half’s fajitas didn’t come with much chicken on and upon us raising this with him the issue was immediately dealt with and rectified. Thank you Mikey, you made our night so much more enjoyable. We hope to see you again!

From the minute we walked in we was greeted by a friendly chap, who explained how they’re currently operating in Covid time. The waitress Sinead was fantastic, bubbly, friendly and very attentive.
We felt looked after, chicken fajitas was great and never felt like we was hanging around.
Great service, efficient and an enjoyable lunch experience

I visited Las Iguanas with 2 friends, having visited previously and had exceptional visits.
We arrived and were seated, food and drink orders were made. We were not advised of unavailable food and drink orders on arrival and what we wanted was not available , we were gifted 2 sides for the inconvenience.
We waited approx 15 mins for drinks, we had ordered cocktails and the waiter comes over and says our food is ready and the drinks would follow.
We then had to chase to make a further drink order after our meal and our glasses remained on the table and we were not offered any option to order dessert as we were just presented with the bill.
I am not sure this is the individuals fault personally he was looking after all customers upstairs seemingly on his own with one person on the bar.
Food and cocktails were nice but service did take the shine off the visit if I am totally honest

We dined here early on a Tuesday evening. There was an excellent choice of cocktails and food, and we were not disappointed when we received our choices. The food was well-prepared, hot and tasty. The cocktails were also of good quality.
Service and surroundings were also very good, and prices are very reasonable.
The food is South American, and quite spicy, which I like. My wife is less keen on spicy food, but she was easily able to find something more to her liking.

Have been to Basingstoke Las Iguanas a few times now, daytime & evenings.
It has a really nice vibe and the food is always delicious. I find the Basingstoke one less cramped and the cocktails are lush, decent and a good price. At a weekend in evening gets busier but the perfect place to eat with friends as a great atmosphere a bit livelier music too. I also like that they stick with the theme of the place with its own cultural music style which I have found in the reading one they don't always do but always makes me feel I'm somewhere else. Love it here and the staff are always friendly and very helpful.

Firstly I work in hospitality so I understand the pressures this puts on a business and the team working in it. However the service here was really not good at all. Only four tables were occupied when we arrived and there were 3 front of house team. Shouldn’t be a problem right? Well we were sat promptly and began to look at the online menus no problems. We then sat for an age before finally having a drinks/food order taken. The food was pretty quick, fajitas as expected. The xinxim was bland and lacked seasoning. I’m not expecting high end catering but I’ve had las iguanas before and this wasn’t up to similar standards.
What really disappointed was once finished we then sat for 10 minutes with dirty plates. The server then made eye contact before heading to another table with two ladies who just had two mojitos and chatted about all sorts of topics. Obviously friends of hers as this was roughly another 10 minutes. Once we managed to get a bill she then handed me the pdq and said this is the bit where you can add a tip if you like, this was swiftly rejected and I mentioned that I feel a greater awareness of your customers is needed. With only 5 tables being served bang on lunch time make it the best experience possible so that they might come back at least!

It's been a while since we've managed to eat at Las Iguanas due to Covid-19 - but damn, it was well worth the wait. Matt was welcoming, helpful and clued up on the menu; recommending his favourite dish for my partner... which is now her favourite!
Definitely looking to revisit soon!, thanks again!

We go once a month to Las Lguanas and always a get a good experience even in these challenging times and a reduced menu.
Tend to see the same staff in there which is a good sign to.
The front of house is managed by Mikey and he is very friendly and is well experienced in customer service and is always friendly. A credit to this restaurant.

We had an early reservation at at 6:30 on Saturday there was quite a queue for tables. We were seated upstairs on the mezzanine. The noise volume was atmospheric and we had a great time. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were beautiful. We will return!
