We dropped in for lunch today. Two good portions of hot food and served as requested, no chips ,dressing etc. Service was a little slow but ladies serving smiley and helpful. My only moan was the car park- Lots of beer cans, rubbish, trash on the car park and in the hedges I was expecting to see a rat pop... More

Stopped here en route home after a very busy day. The menu choice is extensive and the food was great. My server Tasha was extremely friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be stopping by here again.

We chose this venue for the 1st birthday meal for our twin grand children. Plenty of parking. The staff were very accommodating and the environment was very friendly. The service was good and the food was good quality. Made all the better by a £20 off voucher. Terrific value and would visit here again.

Pleasant visit and despite an overdone steak, one always rates a place on how an error was dealt with and on this occasion there was no quibble and the steak was replaced with a perfectly cooked 'medium' and enquiry to ensure we were satisfied with the outcome. It was nice and quiet, having been advised that a table on 23rd... More

The staff were really friendly, but unfortunately the service was very slow (not the fault of waitresses). When it arrived the food was good. However, there were a lot of children at the restaurant, which is not a problem if they are well behaved. Sadly, having kids run around the tables at high speed shouting and screaming is not well... Visited with colleagues at Christmas. We had pre ordered from a set menu - which had plenty of choices. The food was excellent, plentiful and the staff very patient with those of our group who had forgotten what they had ordered! Our waitress Becky was so smiley and bubbly she really looked after us well, as did the Manager. Only... More

My wife and both mothers had Christmas lunch here for the 3rd year running. Sadly not as good as it was. Firstly greeted by the front door of a small bin overflowing with dog ends and fag packets. A couple of poo bags were in attendance. Somebody had clearly not tidied up since the night before. Previously we were warmly... More

We use the Wheatsheaf on a regular basis, it's handy for us visiting friends, but mainly it's because we've become so friendly with staff. On and of we've visited it for 53 years!!!!

Long wait, due to being short staffed & poor food, dried up and barely edible...previous visit much better. Staff very apologetic and did give discount but still unlikely to visit again in near future
