I was rather tentative about booking this venue from my past experience, however always open to giving a place a second chance but unfortunately nothing has changed since my last visit in fact it has got worse. Upon arrival I was told that our table was running late (not my problem) in fact 45 minutes late!!! not a good start,... More

After reading the reviews of the The Swann Inn we thought to give it a go. The venue is in a nice location and parking was ok, also from the outside the venue looks nice. On first impression the interior looked ok. The staff seemed to be a little disorganised and after being seated, we noticed the cutlery had not... More

I hadn't been to The Swan Inn for quite a long time and unfortunately, I remembered why I had stopped going! I ordered the Wild Mushroom and Brie Wellington which was so dry that it was actually difficult to swallow. At the end of the meal the waitress asked my companion how her meal was, but failed to ask me!... More

Sea bass served in a bowl so you had to chase your food around and salad served in a separate bowl which was difficult to remove without tipping it out. Would have been better on a plate. Chicken roulade dish with chicken slightly pink in places and dauphinois potatoes cold and a bit on the hard side. We waited around... More

I just went there for a Quiet drink, It has a lot of History, It has a Thatched roof and has Recently been Refurbished due to fog fire last year, However it is a nice place to drink and eat,

Just been down to the Swan inn in Milton Keynes village for dinner and honestly had the best meal I've ever had down there! The mussels were to die for and the ribs were just unbelievable. So succulent, fell off the bone, there aren't enough words to describe how amazing they were! The chefs need a medal!! Service was amazing... More

This is our 5th. or 6th. visit and, although it's a good environment with very good food and wines (+ beers etc.), the wait for food is a little disappointing. This is not the fault of the waiting staff but as a result of too little resource in the kitchen area. Waiting staff are readily available to serve food but... More

Went to the Swann Inn on Saturday at 5.30pm so it wasn't busy. Had the slow cooked lamb. Well it was just a lump of fat, it was the worst meal out I have had for a long time. To top it off the waitress got my drink order wrong three times! Not going back.

Ten of us in our group on a Saturday evening. The waitress didn't introduce herself. Then throughout the evening we had several different waiting staff so we had no idea who was looking after us. For some reason the men in the group were always served before the ladies. Food and drink took ages to come. The main courses in... More

Booked a table for two for lunch. As this was our first visit to the Swan, we found the initial welcome non existent. After some minutes a member of staff checked us in and pointed to a table for two just inside the restaurant, as this table was very very close to another table with two diners there, we asked...
