Good value as expected. Cheap booze. Quick service. Sausages (with mash) seem cheap spec. but then look at price. Good for quick meal and handy for town and station

This is a modern pub at my end of a busy shopping street, above which is a small office block. There are large windows around the ground floor, but the views from the pub are not that grand ....a modern church and a boarded up...More

Popped into this Wetherspoons whilst waiting for a train home. As usual, it is a very good place to get a quick bite and a decent pint at a reasonable price. The beer and food did not disappoint though I did think the service was...More

Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed the food and drink and can only apologise about being short staffed at the time of your visit, we work hard to try and keep service speedy but sometimes fail to do this.

You know where you stand with a Wetherspoons... decent no frills pub staples for a reasonable price. I had a gourmet burger and a coke with plenty of change from £10. Service was quick, and staff were pleasant. Just what I wanted..

I am very sorry to hear about your friends situation. Did you mention to the staff about his diabetes? As we do try and help the best we can. I hope that if this situation happens again that the staff can be more helpful.

It's a fairly gloomy place, although there was work (and much scaffolding) going on adjacently. However, overall the venue is dark poorly lit. The staff were friendly, the food reasonably priced and certainly edible. It's not the Ritz (how would I know anyway as I...More

Thank you for your review, we apologise about the lighting situation, we are looking into getting more lighting put in. As for the scaffolding it is coming down slowly now so should help improve the overall atmosphere of the pub.
