I wasn't expecting top food as this is a pub however the chips I ordered had no taste as well as the calamari rings. Can't complain about the onion rings which were nice...

This is a simple no frills pub within the village hotel, although you don't need to be a resident. The food is very good, portions are generous and they often have burger and a pint style promotions making it even better value
Staying at the refurbished Village Hotel had quick pint and burger and as always the pub is friendly and well run. Staff seem genuinely pleased to work there and it makes for a great atmosphere on a normally dull Tuesday evening.
