we had a nice dinner in this hotel's restaurant with live music playing in the background There was a buzzy and friendly atmosphere and all the customers were clearly enjoying themselves. The food was tasty and the beers well kept. We shared a good bottle of Pinot Noir and had an enjoyable evening. The hotel is a black and white... More

We popped in here for a drink whilst visiting Tewkesbury. Location is ideal as at the end of the main shopping area and close to other restaurants and bars as well as being close to the Abbey. However the inside is need of a good refresh and drinks were very overpriced with not much change from £20 for a glass... More

My wife and I used to go to the Bell regularly for its sunday roast which was lovely. A good portion of medium rare tender beef with all the trimmings with a massive yorkshire pud was the norm. Today when ordering our sunday roast, both came out as one curled up piece of very over cooked dry beef which when... More

Had seen The Bell advertised before as part of the Old English Inns Group but could not book on the dates required. So when I saw an offer for a break which coincided with mother's day and my wife's birthday I booked a 2night stay (with flowers and chocolates in room) at a very reasonable rate. We were delayed badly... More

Upon arrival the table had not been cleared or cleaned from previous diners, the highchair we needed for our little one was filthy dirty but we overlooked both matters and proceeded to order our food and drinks, huge queue at the bar, only one bar tender serving, food arrived which was very poor quality, lots of gristle in the lasagne... We have called at this place before but left due to insufficient parking space, however on this Sunday evening 12/03/17 there was plenty of room so we opted to try the evening meal. It is a very old place and a bit shabby, and lots of corridors, but plenty of direction signs to guide you. We choose our table and view the very... More

Just looking for a lunchtime snack and was attracted by board outside offering lunch from £4.99. Having looked at the menu we decided on something a little more substantial and chose fish and chips and mushy peas and tea for two - we were driving up north so had to resist the beers on offer. We had hoped that the... More
