Visited here before and had some great meals. Its a brilliant, lively pub in a nice location, perfect for a walk by the river before or after. The last couple of meals I've had though have been a real disappointment - bland and a bit...More

Don't bother! Very poor standard of everything. Slow service, extremely awful food and complaint ignored competely. Ordered special sandwich. Chicken and pesto mayonnaise. I expected nice breast meat with tasty mayo. I was very wrong. Meat was the end of the chicken which can be...More

We hired the Snug for 30+ people. It was a good, cozy room with its own extension of the bar. We catered it a little with a hot pot supper; it was a seriously good hot pot. I'm not usually one for hot pot, but...More

Food good, beer good, just don't dare to take a chair from the completely empty conservatory to try and use it in the sunny/busy garden. You will have your chair abruptly taken off you and you will be forced to eat/drink standing.

Went for Saturday tea & were well looked after - table pre-reserved and the table service for drinks was a bonus as there was a huge queue for the bar! Recommend the specials menu and the puddings were a treat! The waiting staff were very...More
