There was plenty of variety on the menu, the food was good and the staff pleasant and helpful. Good value for money. It's a large, clean, pub, with entertainment some evenings and is worth seeking out in its countryside location not far out of Preston.

We called in to the Derby Arms for our tea one evening and where pleased with the friendly welcome from the staff. The country inn has a good menu and the food is to a high standard. Nice Robinsons ale with a good choice.

I would like to write a poor review and keep this place a secret but that would be unfair to the wonderful staff and fantastic Chef! My wife and I came for Sunday Lunch and were treated to fantastic service and a meal that was out of this world. A fell I need to single out the gravy. Never in... More

I seriously have just experienced food porn. Didn't even know it existed until we came here for lunch today. The setting is beautiful, the staff are friendly and very helpful and the food is beyond belief!! I had the fish pie which is not only the best fish pie I've ever tasted but I'd go as far to say the... More

As i walked into this restaurant that i had heard many a great thing about i was amazed with the decor and warm welcoming from the host. I was seated in the bar and got a glimpse of the impressive restaurant and piano. We were sat by the warm fire and didn't know what to order as everything looked amazing.... More

Visited before a walk along the river. We decided to have a pie day so had the steak and ale and also the fish pie. Staff were very attentive. Well fed and watered ready for a stroll.

Really impressed with the Derby Arms. Haven't been for some time despite being local and my husband and I went last night with friends. Excellent service and even more excellent food! Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend you visiting.

Six of us ate here Wednesday evening. We had 3 black pudding starters followed by steak n ale pie(4), fish pie (1) & gammon (1) & everyone enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly & helpful but a little thin on the ground. We'd go again.
