Had the Sunday roast here, really impressed with the speed of service and the food tasted amazing even though was end of the day when we ate. Definitely going out for sunday lunch more often and we'll be coming here.

The waiting on staff were lovely and polite. Main meal came and yes acceptable. Could have done with more steak in the steak, mushroom and merlot pie with little onions that weren't present. Gammon was good, asked if the salmon and stir fry could just be salmon with chips still charged over £14 quid! Ordered creme brûlée x3 with Viennese... More

Lovely walk from Halton to Caton along the old railway line past the Crook of Lune. Lovely Caton beer then Fish and Chips for two, including a glass of wine each for £20. Lovely fish crispy batter and a very generous portion. Lovely walk home in the dusk, brown trout rising in the river. Lovely.

Good food and good beer. Been here a few times over the year and it has had ups and downs. Visited in April 2017 and its definitely on the up! Nice atmosphere and great food. Well done chef and staff.

Arrived at 5pm. 3 adults 2 children. A main course each and a desert each. Time 7:10. Still waiting for deserts. Pub not busy. Too slow especially with children. Food good though.

We'd past the "Ship" numerous times either going into or out of Lancaster and decided to call for a late lunch. We were very impressed with everything about the ship. The food was good and freshly prepared. Service was also first rate.

Called in on Sunday 19th. First time for a few years. Lovely refurb and a very good menu. My wife had the fish and chips, should have been called whale and chips!!! Ribs were gorgeous and Lamb burger very nice. Will definitely be going again!
