The staff are really friendly and will go off piste from the menu to give you what you need. The sourdough bread is to die for and is so tasty toasted. The prices are really reasonable with lots of choices available.

The place looks really nice, I do not deny that. Problem is that service is quite slow, cakes are just average, but the worst thing is that everything is terribly expensive! For example: soup of the day £5, a special Tea £4.90, not so special for that price, believe me. All looks very pretentious, and if the aim is "to... More

I visited the place last May with my brother and my parents and the cakes and tea were just awesome so after one year I decided to go back with my boyfriend. Bad choice. We ordered a glass of water and a coke that took more than 10 minutes to arrive (the place wasn't busy at all), together with the... More

Visited today Easter Monday, ordered poached eggs on rye toast with black coffee, black coffee was simply brutal! Husband had tea that was nice. Free refills for tea which is great. Then ordered a glass of red wine to detract from the bleugh coffee. That was fine. Took over 30 min's for the eggs to appear, there where two on... More

The food and drinks we ordered were very lovely, a tad over priced for teas ( I work in a cafe myself where we serve the same teas for a 3rd of the price) and served in chipped tableware. The portion sizes were a little odd, similar priced orders but massive difference in the amounts but that was fine. The... More

We came here for breakfast I had the full English (£9.50) this was very nice and massive portion. My partner had eggs Royale (£7.50) this was really nice as well. We also had a pot of tea for two which is free unlimited refills. I had a slice of Victoria sponge (£4) which came with clotted cream and my partner... More

Late lunch for 4 ppl, no reservation needed. Menu offers many different choices of eggs, salads and detox drinks/teas. We had poached eggs and royal eggs, well cooked and accompanied by a tasty sauce. Caesar salad also interesting. Rainbow cake, good-looking but not the best ever. Lovely staff, very nice place and good price.

Cute place, nice menu. Cakes are expensive - they look amazing and there's a good selection however the white chocolate poppyseed cake was very dry so not worth the price. Drinks arrived after the food. Ordered a tap water that never arrived.

Will be sadly remembered for the appalling state of the toilet as well as the slow service. Long wait to order our drinks, for them to arrive and to pay. Coffee and tea was good as was the cake, waiters were pleasant...
