We were looking for some traditional Alsace food while staying in Colmar and found it at Chez Hansi. It's an old-fashioned restaurant in the heart of the pretty town centre. We were greeted warmly by two welcoming smiling women in Alsace costume who looked after...More

We dropped into this warm Alsatian restaurant unannounced on a Sunday nite and were rewarded to a nice dinner served by a totally lovely woman in costume. No other Americans in the restaurant, and the experience was just great.

Chez Hansi is said to be a good local and traditional restaurant in Colmar. However, from our point of view, food is only average. We had different starters, mains and deserts, all quite average in taste and quality. We had the feeling that some dishes...More

We went here based on TA reviews. The owner / waitress was extremely welcoming and friendly. We both had the set menu with me having the cold meat starter and chicken in Riesling and my wife having the quiche and sauerkraut Garni. The cold meats...More

Purely traditional restaurant served by ladies dressed in Alsatian costumes. Warm welcome in busy restaurant. Our server Victoria could not have been nicer or more professional! We started with a deliciously smooth foie grad on perfectly toasted bread slice. My husband had a flavorful onion...More

We were two couples in our late 50s early 60s. We had a wonderful meal in a quiet setting with quiet music playing. The food was delicious, including pork knuckle and sauerkraut, onion tart and green salad, a chicken and spaetzle plate, and soup. The...More

I wish I could give this a 4.5! The service was phenomenal! The waitstaff was sweet, attentive, helpful with the menu, and adorably clad in traditional Alsacian dress. The food was a solid 4, with some aspects better than others, but not an off-the-charts culinary...More

Two friends and I enjoyed a very pleasant and relaxing meal in this typical Alsatian restaurants. Alsatian food is not my favourite but it was quite good. The decor was very typical of the establishment and the service was excellent. The waitresses are dressed in the traditional alsatian costumes to add to the atmosphere.
