Absolutely nothing special about this place except for high prices due to its location. Nice staff and interior but food only average. Rather disappointing.

Went to Au dauphin for dinner after reading some reviews from TA. We were quickly seated since we had reserved a table in advance. Service was quick and staff were attentive. Ordered 2 Flambees and a fish Saurkraut. 1 of the Flambee was burned and the waitress changed a new 1 for us very quickly. The food taste alright and... More

We ate at the Brasserie au Dauphin for dinner our only night in Strasbourg. I hadn't done much research on restaurants and hadn't made any reservations so we just wandered the neighborhood reading menus until we found the Brasserie au Dauphin tucked into a corner near the cathedral. It was a touristy place, but the service was good and the... More

This restaurant was so much better than expected and food tasted great. We were desperate for somewhere to eat since most places were full and we had to wait for a table. It it was worth it. Staff were friendly and although we just had a quick lunch the foi gras and tart flambé were very tasty. We found the... More

I went to the Dauphin restaurant with my mother today. It is well located just very close to the cathedral. The environment is nice. Well decorated. But the food was not up to the standard. I had the menu starting with a salad that was very boring with hardly a dressing and no taste. Then I had the bouchée a... More

This restaurant is a bit hard to find. The staff was all very friendly, speak fluent English and German. They also offer German menu for German tourists. We had children's menu, Mozzarella salad, duck and 4 different kinds of Tarte Flambee. The first two were delightful. The sweet Tarte Flambee was a nice surprise. However all the Tarte Flambee were... More

I loved having dinner there. We didn't reserve but luckily they were a couple of tables left. Lovely staff. If you would like to taste the local food this is an authentical restaurant. Great food, lovely restaurant and tasty wine. We would go back again. It wasn't our first time.

The food was good (not impressive) and the service rather fast. But overall I got the feeling it was more of a tourist trap (although the staff refused - or did not know how - to speak English). Dated and tacky appearance, especially in the outside area, average tasting local food, complete lack of atmosphere or personality. There are many... More

Situated at the end of a short arcade this great restaurant is not all that obvious from the square. We only found the place by chance after getting a little desperate on a wet Sunday to find an inside venue with good fare. We were not disappointed! He has medallions of veal in a rich mushroom sauce while she enjoyed... More

Great position in the centre of Strasbourg and delightful outside area for seating. Plenty of locals having lunch. We had the €24 set menu which was excellent. Wine by the glass and pichet. Good beers. Good service.
