Stumbled on this very nice place while on a one day visit of the city. The staff is very pleasant, even patient with us non French speaking tourist. The menu has plenty of items, I enjoyed a very delicious range chicken plate, the others in the group enjoyed some local wine. Sitting outside just watching the world go by and... More

We simply did not know better. We ended up here after a long day of travel with children and we wanted a relaxing experience. That did not happen. This place is near the cathedral and it seemed like they were more interested in turning tables than providing good service. The food was average and the service was not bad--but it... More

This place is adjacent to the cathedral and climbing the stairs to the dining room will stimulate the appetite. The menu is classic French and Alsatian. I had the whole grilled sea bass, as good as it gets. Deserts are luscious.Wines only so so.

This restaurant was recommended by a local resident as not to be missed. The 15th century house, now restaurant, is situated next to the grand cathedral and is an experience in itself to dine. Our dining area featured a wall mural of the myth Tantalus which was extremely interesting. The traditional food was outstanding- I had a beef dish and... More

They advertise a two for one deal which is totally misleading so beware when booking as it is only one specific dish. Felt the empasis on Alsatian food is great but but wondered why my order or duck confit with sauerkraut still came with slabs of ham.

One of the best-known restaurants in Strasbourg, which displays lots of pictures of famous people who once ate there. The location and the service are great, but the food is just good, not more than that. After all, it's a restaurant for tourists, not for gourmets.

Perfect regional food although the only had the reduced menu for eastern and they only had it in French. However, the food was great and worth the higher price with those huge portions.
