We enjoyed our breakfast here, though the atmosphere is minimal and there are much more pleasant places for breakfast. That said the croissants, French bread, butter, and jam were great, and the cappuccinos and coffees our group had were excellent. Dining outside in warmer weather would be a plus.

Stopped in here for a quick late lunch while shopping the wonderful Christmas markets. Was very crowded but we finally got seats. Nice to sit down for a while and get warm. Staff was pleasant and it was a cute little cafe. We had soups and light sandwiches, all of which were OK.

It wasn't easy to find a place in a restaurant during the lunch time in Strasbourg because of Christmas market, so we were happy to get a table in Le Kougelhopf, although it didn't look too tempting from outside. But we were nicely surprised with very friendly waitress and excellent Flammkuchen. We were very satisfied.

We went to this restaurant to have breakfast, and liked it alot. We were a bit sad that it only had sweet stuff, we would have liked to eat some cheese!

My husband and I were wandering through Petite France when we came upon this small restaurant in a square. The sun was shining and there were tables outside so it looked like a good place for some lunch. Most of the tables were occupied so the waitress did a great job of taking orders and serving without too much of... More

Being in Strasbourg you must try the tarte flambe. It's like a flatbread pizza. It was a rainy day so decided to try Le Kougelhopf as it was the only place we could get in to. Service was a little on the slow side, but I guess that's because it was busy. We tried the one with muenster cheese, bacon... More

Nice place to stop and get a bite to eat. Decent enough selection of local cuisine. Friendly staff, good service and reasonably priced.

We wanted to eat some typical food from the Alsace. So we deceided to eat a Tarte Flambée at Le Kougelhof. This restaurant is located in the Petit France area just next to the river. The Tarte was serve really fast and it tasted so good! In addition we had an Orangina and a Cola Zero and paid € 15.30.

We felt like intruders at this unfriendly spot in petite France, Strausbourg . I am sad to report this place as rude, but maybe they should hire someone with at least a smile. We felt so unwanted as tourists.
