A little bit of a mix between German and French. The food was delightful, the duck was beautifully prepared and the sauce was very very nice. Also the red wine "Clos de leglise" was very tasty. A must visit if you are here for a...short period for an authentic experience.More

Wonderful Alsace experience, genuine hospitality from excellent English speaking Oliver, hand written menu which is surprisingly large, high quality food, exceptional value, homely environment. I think this was one of our top dining experiences on our recent visit to Europe. Thank you

We arrived in this small Restaurant thanks to my son indications. The place is cozy, well decorated and as I said, small, small. Better you reserve in advance. The food is tipical Alsatian, few choises on the board, nice smilinf French host. I had a...cassoleete escargot (snail) as starter and we had choucroute with 5 meats, a baekeoffe with 3 meats and a confit de canard. Alsatian portion!!!!! Profiterolles as dessert. Cafe alsacien. Excellent. Good quality food, reasonable price and very friendly service. A fantastic experience. What stop me to give the 5th punt is the space between the table (I understand the financially necessity) but finally it is not pleasant. Don't miss the place!!!!More

We had one night in Strasbourg and really wanted to sample some Alsace cuisine. So pleased we found Au Cruchon. The food was simply fabulous and the guy working front of house couldn't have been more helpful with choices and translations. I had none marrow...followed by pork knuckle on sauerkraut and my wife had traditional onion pie and chicken. My mouth is watering thinking about it! You should definitely go but do book ahead. It's not big and fills up quick. Go!More

The restaurant is traditional Alsatian , it is very small and it is better to book. The owners is also waiter , counter and receptionist, but everything is perfectly organized. The menu is just enough to taste the local kitchen, as starter we shared an...home made pâté de fois gras and it was a good idea , because the portion was very generous , it came just with the croutons to spread it on, no creams or confiture, and that was all we needed! I took a choucroute and my partner a cuisse de canard au miel; the choucroute was simple but good but the duck was magic, the bottle of Côte di Rhône was excellent and at a very fair cost, I finished it with a very good and reach portion of Alsatian cheese. I’ll for sure dine there next time I’m in Strasbourg.More

This was our first dinner in Strasbourg. We wanted traditional Alsacian food and we got it. The gentleman running the front of the house was very nice and happily translated the menu on the wall into English for us. The Charcroute was delicious. We came...at 7 without a reservation but the small place filled up fast on a Tuesday evening and he had to turn other walk ins away. Highly recommend.More

Local man talked this restaurant to me. The menu on the wall is written in French, but staff read it in English. You can taste Alsatian food and wines that are not too expensive. Staff, food, wines, everything is EXCELLENT!

Wow! What a great meal! The chacroute immediately caught my eye when I saw the menu and I had to have it. I was not disappointed. Generous portions of five different meats/ sausages , and large helping of kraut, and a big boiled potato. I...was completely sated after that meal. It reminded me of long ago home cooked meals. The service was very good. The host/ waiter spoke English, French, and German. He offered to explain the entire menu to me, but I saved his breath when the chacroute caught my attention. The host was a very nice man, his interactions with all the customers was very pleasant. He offered a great wine pairing with the meal that worked well. I will go back here next time that I am in StrasbourgMore
