I had dinner with my wife and it was a pleasure. The entree was awesome. The service also was excellent.

We ate here last Thursday and had an excellent lunch, our first in Bordeaux. We stumbled across the place and it looked good so we ate. Was better than some the restaurants we picked out to eat in before we traveled. Good, simple food. I had the duck and my wife the lamb. Would thoroughly recommend it.

This Jan 16th my wife and I had a late lunch in this pleasant brasserie. We took the menu in which we picked a goat cheese salad followed by a delicious piece of beef cooked perfectly to our preference. Then came a great pear crumble and smooth and sweet yogurt with honey and coffee. We selected a half bottle of... More

We walked by this restaurant including the neighbouring ones, felt that this should be a good venue to have lunch. The restaurant was fairly crowded. The waiter did approach us eventually. He spoke in English and was friendly, happy to give us a hand with the menu. We ordered the terrine de four Gra, classique burger and a bottle of... More

Stumbled across this place when looking for dinner, was apprehensive given the nice location but the 25 Euro menu looked good and food looked good so went for it. Firstly service was excellent, our waiter did not have the best English but tried very hard to help and we soon figured it out! Wine was great, recommended by the waiter... More

Service was average to poor. Took them some time to get me seated, handed me a menu card, and for them to get my order. I had the escargots for starters, which were bland. The confit du canard (main) was good, actually really good, but it was served with fries and skimpily dressed salad. For desserts, I had the chocolate... More

Good location looked okay. Service quick but unpleasant experience. We decided on the 15.90Euro dinner which includes three plates (entree, main and dessert). As I wasn't very hungry did not want the entree but had the other two plates. Chicken dish dry, French fries and bit of salad. Average creme broulee. When we paid I was charged separate fee for... Bordeaux is very busy on Saturday nights and we had not booked anything. We went to Bistroy Edouard as they still had some room outside. I did not expect much as it is located in a very toursty area but this was a very nice surprise! Very efficient team of servers, extrelemy hard working as the place is huge. Nice... More

Not sure about all the negative reviews. Location is great and maybe we are lucky. The young staff that served us were friendly, spoke English (and several other languages) and attentive. The fixed fare menu was a very good value and the food was good. We even returned a second night and again had a good experience.

Quite average food, not everything homemade (e.g. fries...)... my parents and I (french) were extremely disappointed... Location is good close to the river bank and the Porte de la monnaie... otherwise no reason to stop if you want to taste french cuisine... I will avoid coming back as there is plenty of nice restaurants around...
