We dined twice at this restaurant during our recent stay, and enjoyed it very much. The staff are quick and efficient. I would recommend the Chicken Basque and my husband enjoyed the duck.

I ordered chipirons a la plancha - grilled baby squid- with a green salad and thought I noticed a bit of a smirk on the waiter's face. When he brought the food out the tasty chipirons came garnished with a decent portion of green salad so I didn't really need the separate one I had ordered.

It was a sunny July day and we were feeling sort of peckish. Looking for a place to grab a bite we found this restaurant not far from the beach and in the centre of St-Juan-de-Luz. We ordered different dishes and I chose mussels. Quite good to be honest. The service could be a little better, though

This is a bums on seats place which is to say there are enough tourists coming to St Jean de Luz for them to survive on a one and only visit. The set menu, while reasonable, is not well executed. On the plus side lots of serving staff and a good explanation of the food written on the wall. My... More

Friendly staff and very helpful. My husband has had a recent hip operation and the toilets were downstairs. The staff were quick to tell us there was a toilet on the same level as were dining for him. There is a 17.50 menu or a la carte, we went the later. It was ok, nothing to write home about. The... Starter of fried prawns nice enough but hard work. Sea bream cooked in too much oil. Friend's steak ok. Other friend had poulet basque which was copious but not that appetising. 24 euro menu reasonable but quality very average. Wine not bad, €17 for bottle of ok Bordeaux rouge. Wouldn't go again.

Lunch menu & was only ok while service was poor. Chicken special was nothing 'special' & we certainly had much better gateau basques while we stayed in St jean d luz. Location I think sells it to people but we had much better lunches in other restaurants in the town. Don't choose unless you really have to.

It was very friendly. We had squid starter and then main of fish. We thought the 23 euro menu was the best. We paid 27 euros the next night and actually ended up not managing the desert. We also did not need or want the sangria that comes with the 27 euro menu. but that was our poor decision. It... More

My wife and I saw this restaurant on one of our walks (located on one of main pedestrian streets leading to the beach) and decided that it was worth a try. It wasn't. The food was awful. We opted for their fixed price menu (27Euro) for a glass of Sangria and three courses. For a starter I had the grilled... More
