Had a lovely dinner to celebrate St Valentine's day. Service excellent and food of a high quality. Faux filet excellent with sauce and potatoes. Husband raved about the duck breast. Excellent wines and a lovely atmosphere, just what you would expect from a quality French bistro. You get what you pay for in this establishment. Recommended.

We enjoyed a delightful and relaxing meal here and were happy to be away from a lot of the more touristy places. This is a quaint, authentic bistro and the service was attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious, typical French, very fresh and well prepared. We had a lovely evening here and a nice stroll to and from our... More

Small restaurant located in centre of Saint Malo. Food was OK. Prices a little bit too high. Nice service.

this local bistro is a very good place for experience the good regional cuisine. the menu is not big (5 entrees, 5 main course, 5 desert) it means that they are putting lots of attention in every dish. you can feel that their is someone there in the kitchen that knows his job.

Very busy restaurant with limited tables so necessary to book in advance. Although staff speak some English it is helpful if you can understand French. Good menu selection to cover all tastes.

Tucked away in a side street near the Porte St-Vincent, it's a traditional French bistro with relaxed decor run by a well-established husband and wife team. The menu offers a good range of meat and locally caught fish dishes (maybe the scallops with braised leeks in a piquant white sauce should be considered their signature dish), some imaginative desserts and... We've recently returned from our second week-long stay in Saint-Malo (our first was three years ago). We had a wonderful time away and our only regret was that we hadn't eaten in Le Bistro de Jean on our first trip. Our hotel was only a two minute walk away from the restaurant and we walked past it on our first... More

This is a typical French bistrot and was our favourite dining experience in St Malo and we tried all the "good" ones. The food is authentic, cooked with passion and soul and tasted amazing! The service was very welcoming and thoughtful, it felt like you had visited your favourite family gourmande for a meal. Yum, yum, yum! Make sure you... More
