We had dinner at this little restaurant tucked away in the less touristy part of Tours. The food was amazing and Patricia was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu in English. We had the 3-course meal and every course was exceptional! We had salads for starters, fish and veal for the mains and chocolate cake and rhubarb compote.... More

I can't tell you how amazing our experience at Casse Cailloux was. Patricia and Hervé are just the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The food is to die for and the wine list is really quite amazing. It was truly the best meal we had in France and what made it so special is connecting... More

The dining room of this restaurant is casual but the cuisine is up to an exacting standard. They are justifiably very proud of their fresh ingredients.

Excellent food, great people. It has a nice small terrace. I had le plat du jour (a vegetable soup and beef in a delicious sauce of wine) very nice quantity and quality.

Casse Cailloux is tucked away on an anonymous back street, but it's well worth finding. On the warm evening I visited, Mme was very apologetic that the terrace tables were fully booked but I was quite happy to sit inside (on my own for most of the meal) with an excellent view of the chef at work in the kitchen.... This small, friendly, local, family owned and run spot (husband and wife) is a place not to be missed. Tonight's menu was a list of pairings from single items to a full 3 course meal. We were generously greeted with a tasty cauliflower soup infused with a homemade oil, coriander, and cilantro leaf. We ordered and enjoyed appetizers of either... More

This is the kind of restaurants that you can find in France. Small, calm enviromrnt and french food. Honestly, you finish a little bit flat. You don't say that it is nice. But you do not remember it. Food is good and wine selection too. But you do not feel anything special. If you go, it will be a good... More

We spent an excellent evening in a cold night in this nicely decorated, intimate, just a few tables, easy to make conversation restaurant. The kitchen is exceptional, there is creativity without falling into artifices. It is solid traditional French cooking, yet surprising by its originality and experiments. The service is friendly and efficient. A place we would like to return... More

At first, one wonders if this is the place. 8-10 tables max. But wonderful modern cuisine bourgeoise. Mots customers are neighbours. However, do not hesitate to go there. 2-meals for 22€ (lunch), 3 for 30€.

This little restaurant is about 6 blocks away from the town hall in a residential area. Yoiu could easily walk past it. Do not do that. The food is too good. The chef knows what he is doing. The lady in the front welcomes you into this little gem. We were there for lunch and ate in the sunny tiny... More
