Great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. Cosy place and really good food and locally sourced. Few metre from the Chateau de Villandy. They even have 2 guest room they offer as B&B.

We came there to have breakfast. But it was 26.12. Most of the places were closed but this was working. We were alone in the restaurant. We took one omplet with green salad, one portion of 4 different meet with green salad and coffee. The price was 30,3 euro.

We ate well at L'Epicerie after a day at the Villandry garden. The restaurant is full of the character one might expect in an old farm and the greeting and service generally was friendly and in our case attentive. But we felt later arrivals were served less well; it seemed an age for orders to be taken and some other... More

We showed up around 5:30pm for a glass of wine, tea and a cheese plate(the three were delicious). Though the restaurant owner was busy preparing the restaurant and the kitchen for the dinner shift, she welcomed us very kindly and spent time with us to discuss the wines and cheeses. She then gave us personal recommendations on where to go... More

We stayed one night in L'Epicerie Gourmande in early July, with our four kids. We all loved the roomy, quirky suite we got to stay in, under the roofs in a 16th-century building (thankfully with air conditioning). The sting came the next day when presented with the bill, for a one-night stay and dinner for six in the restaurant. Food... More

Cool, quiet spot a quick walk away from Chateau de Villandry. The menu was slightly limited, but all of the food was delicious. Reasonably priced for the quality. As Americans who speak almost no French, it was very nice to have a server who tried her sincere hardest to translate what she could for us, which definitely contributed to our... More

The crepes were ok, but sweet crepes had no filling. The waitress made jokes about us without knowing that we understand French ! Awful experience

After a morning exploring the Chateau & Gardens of Villandry we wanted something interesting and not too heavy for lunch, we were not disappointed. Our food and drink arrived quickly, both of our choices were well presented and tasty. We were surprised there were no other diners. We left refreshed and ready for our next chateau visit.

After visiting the chateau we were very hungry and walked around the village to try and find a place to eat with vegetarian options. This place had a vegetable quiche, and it was good. The service was good, but she did not speak much English, so I had to use my broken French, which is not a problem, after all... More
