You need to know what you want in French or have a French speaker in group. Very quick and friendly service. Waitress knew menu and how prepared. Everything very fresh and not over-spiced it is usually in US. Rather dishes based on complex and eclectic tastes.

Modern urban concrete cafe style. The starts of Chicken Satay starter was really nice came with two small side dishes of cucumber and peanuts. Main courses we selected were both good and plenty to eat the Noodles with prawn omlette was super and cashew nuts with French green beans and chicken was well cooked Worth a visit and quick service

Nice little restaurant in heart of the city. The meals are quite different from french food. But all the meals contain rice. That's too much rice for one day!

The place is quite full every day at lunch time. Food is acceptable, altough vegetables are often under cooked. I don't know what part of the beef they cook but it's as hard a sole and you end up having to gulp down the whole meat bits with a draw of beer. Limited choice and little creativity or evolution in... More

Good, freshly prepared food in a budget warehouse setting. We ate there twice during our visit to Besançon. On both occasions we had Wok dishes - full of flavour with lots of crunchy, colourful veggies and accompanied by a mound of rice. Add prawns, beef, pork or chicken as you wish. Noodle dishes are also available. There is no decor... More

If your mother were from Thailand, I daresay this is what you would expect to eat at home. Fresh ingredients cooked in front of your eyes, no microwaves in sight.Crunchy green beans, delicious meat in a mild sauce. If you like food you will understand and appreciate this. Stone walls, marble floors and orange lampshades add to the general 'ethnic'... More

We are big big fans of the Asian cuisine and this place left us a bit confused. We get the concept behind it and think it is very cool, but the food just didn't do it for us. The cold teas were really tasty and the wine was okay, however the noodles dish was just plain. Loved the crunchy veggies... More

Dear Tea V, thanks for sharing your opinion about our place. I am surprised that you say that the food didn't do it for you, while in the same time praising our teas, wine, green curry and mango with sticky rice. I understand that you found the noodles dish too plain, but indeed it is only seasoned with soy sauce,... More

We were very excited to find Thai in Besancon. the menu looked good and a very reasonable price. We were seated by the 1 staff member attending to all of the tables, she knew we did not speak good French, but this did not seem to be a problem (we said Bonjour and asked in French if she knew English,... Dear megankline, first of all let us apologise for what happened. Let us assure you that this is not the way we want our customers' experience to be. During some services waiting time can be long when the restaurant gets unexpectedly crowded all of sudden (this is what happened when you were there, and it is why there was only... More

Having been used to thai food in Britain, really hot curries, this was an eye-opener. Really subtle flavours and really fresh ingredients.
