I didn't expect to see a Russian restaurant in Montmarte. It was the only time I ate inside in Paris as they had no outside tables. I had the pork shaslik.whish involved a wait of 20 minutes as specified on the menu so I ordered a Ukrainian beer. It turned out to be Baltica 7. I didn't know this was... More

Decent food, was overshadowed by poor service. Quite inattentive and rude treatment. It's a shame because it is unique cuisine.

We ate here one evening at the end of a long weekend in Paris. I had beef stroganoff, my wife chose a ravioli dish. We also had a bottle of Georgian wine. The food was excellent and the service helpful and friendly. We would definitely come to this restaurant again!

After having a tired day we went looking for some good Russian cuisine. The restaraunt seemed really nice. We entered and took our seats. When the man came to serve he was smelling of alcohol. He was rude and insulted his clients. Of course we left. there was no politeness. Please do not take your family here and do not... More

I have visited this Russian restaurant during a business trip, as me and my colleagues were staying in the area and we decided to try a different cuisine for one of our dinners. The food is very good at Svetlana's. We enjoyed appetizers and main dishes, they were delicious and in good quantity. Only the dessert was kind of poor... More

As I know my country very well, I knew from the very beginning that this restaurant should have some flaw. To my surprise, the food was quite good, the decoration and music were bearable, the prices were decent and the owner was rather nice (in his own Armenian manner, of course, you should not expect too much of him). But... More

After visitng the Romaov exhibition at the Pinacotheque my wife thought we should continue our Russian experience with a meal. Our hotel suggested this place so we booked a table for two for a Sunday night. It was also nice to be in the Montmartre area again. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived at 19.30 and remained so... More

I have been to Moscow and Novosibirsk a couple of times, and went to restaurants as much as I could. I was disappointed as I could not find really nice food. Now, this restaurant has really good food, and it's really russian food. I have been to a russian restaurant in Indianapolis which was good but felt french. So, five... More

I am a native Russian and was visiting Paris and looking for a Russian restaurant as I try to compare notes while travelling. I found this restaurant to be a nice surprise: location was lovely, food was delicious with good porions sizes and awesome service. The Russian video with music was a bit too much even for more taste, but... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
