A typical and charming bistro francaise. We were a big group and they did their best. I tried the canard, tasty and well done. A good place in downtown.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, as it was very late on a Monday night, by the time we had finished sightseeing. The place is bursting with French charm, and has a lovely warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere. The subtle piano player definitely adds to this atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our wine, cheese platter. But special mention must... More

Quaint , intimate setting with the bonus - David the pianist playing English Christmas songs whilst Giselle our friendly waitress served us a delicious and filling 6 course French meal. A memory we will treasure

We had a wonderful meal at this cozy, intimate spot. Professional cooking and great service. But it is not pretentious. They have entertainment later in the evening. If you are in the area of the Pantheon, this place is worth having a meal. It is a good value.

I walked around, and this was the first place that attracted me. Not the general touristy menu, but a broad selection of normal cuisine. Very nice atmosphere, with locals and visitors. Good food, not stunning, but certainly good.

I find it amazing how this restaurant isnt better placed on TripAdvisor ranking, since its really good... The only thing positive about it is that it makes it easier to get a table :) Ive tried the Gourmand menu and everything was trully good... The soup was the best for me, but also the risoto and the desert where very... More

What a waste of money, and on my last night in Paris! I was walking near my hotel looking for a place to have dinner. The place I went the night before was terrific but was closed on Sat night for some reason. So I walked by this place and the first floor was full, there was even a pianist... More

The food was excellent especially the veal starter , the restaurant has a real homely feel . The added bonus for our evening meal was a delightful young French girl playing... More

My girlfriend and I purchased a groupon for this restaurant. For a Wednesday night, it was not very busy so I my expectations were low. I quickly found out how wrong I was!! The waitress assisted us with the bottle of wine, which was delicious and was patient as we ordered our starters. Upon arrival, what appeared visually to be... More

We bought a voucher from Groupon for 4 people, usually with these vouchers the menus given are limited or restricted but not at this restaurant! We were able to pick ANY starter, main and dessert.. The food was delicious, I got the tuna with black rice and that was one of the best I've ever had! My family went for... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
