This charming little restaurant serves hearty authentic French cuisine. The food is a bit 'rough' and so is the service, but it somehow feels really great all together. Good portion sizes, very filling and delicious food and a simply stunning atmosphere! We must have been...More

Go early and go for the classics, you won’t be desapointed. Service is ok. Boss at the entrance quite nice. Not expensive. A little bit noisy but come on! You’re in Paris.

Enter Chez Denise and face down the dragon at the entrance. Yes, admit you do not have reservations and you will likely be seated, but if you are prepared to share a table with others you have never met before, you will be seated We...More

Been to Chez Denise a few times now and it never disappoints. Is it the most friendly restaurant in Paris? Definitely not. Is the menu easily decipherable (even for a semi fluent French speaker)? No. Are the waiters super helpful? No. Is the food awesome?...More

This was by far the worst experience I had here in Paris. The service was an absolute nightmare. I have never been treated in such a disrespectful way. Since we entered the restaurant it was as if we were another burden for them. The menu...More

On a recent trip to Paris, my husband and I had lunch at Chez Denise. This traditional bistro in Les Halles serves traditional food in generous portions. We split an appetizer, lamb chops and creme caramel. The food was great. One order of lamb chops...More

One of my favorite restaurants in Paris. This small, Very French restaurant is quintessential Paris dining. Chalkboard menu, checked tablecloths and waiters in starched white shirts. You sit (tightly) shoulder to shoulder with other patrons and enjoy a classic meal (the veal kidneys are my...More
